COPS ARREST THREE IN UNRELATED ROBBERIES

From Maplewood Police today:

November 25, 2015; Robbery; At approximately 11:00 PM a 19 year old male was approached by two juveniles on the 70’s block of Jacoby St.  The two juveniles struck him once and attempted to take items out of his pockets.  The actors were unsuccessful in taking any items and fled on foot. Officers responded to the area and located the two actors. Officers arrested a 14 year old male from South Orange and a 16 year old male from Newark and charged both with robbery. The victim did not require any medical attention.

November 26, 2015; Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft; At approximately 9 PM a Dodge parked on Fernwood Rd sustained damage to the door and ignition consistent with an attempted theft. 

November 27, 2015; Robbery; At approximately 7:15 PM a shoplifter was stopped as they attempted to leave the Extra Supermarket on Irvington Ave.  A scuffle ensued and the shoplifter fled the scene.  Officers responded and were able to locate the shoplifter.  He was identified as 49 year old Harold Goines of East Orange. He was taken into custody and charged with robbery.
