Julie Doran of Maplewood's Village Alliance has helped provide Patch with a partial listing of local places altering their hours of operation. (Some plans are pending and we’ll try to keep the status as up to date as possible – or as current as Irene allows!)
Arturo’s will be closed all day Sunday and Monday for lunch, re-opening on Monday for dinner.
Baker St. Yoga is closing, canceling Sunday classes.
Cactus Charly (as of 4 p.m. Saturday) plans to remain OPEN Saturday and Sunday.
Coda will be closed Saturday for brunch which we will decide by 3pm.depending on severity of weather....Sunday they’ll be closed for brunch and decide whether or not to open for dinner at 3 p.m.
East Side Fitness is planning to close Sunday, unless weather is not as severe as anticipated... Call ahead if in doubt.
Kings Super Market (as of 4pm Saturday) plans to remain open until 10pm and maintain regular hours Sunday (7am-9pm)
Little One & Co. may close early Saturday depending on conditions and will be closed Sunday.
Maplewood Deli & Grille will remain open until 5pm Saturday and will be closed Sunday.
Scrivener’s will be battening down the hatches at 5 PM Saturday and will not open Sunday. So get your games early today! (Board games by candle light may be end up being more realistic than romantic come tomorrow…)
Strawberry Field’s is trying to trying to stay open until 8 p.m. tonight (weather willing) but will be closed Sunday.
Village Coffee will be closing at 4 p.m. Saturday but plans to be open Sunday, weather permitting.
Wild Ginger will be closed Saturday night and all Sunday.
Words plans to close at 6 p.m. Saturday and may have a delayed opening on Sunday.
Up on Springfield Avenue, Kocafe closed at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
And one the entertainment/activities front:
Maplewood Theatre has cancelled the 9 p.m. movies for Saturday evening. Since they don't open until noon on Sunday, they are still waiting it out before making the call…
SOPAC is closed.
Maplewood Community Pool closed at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Pool remains closed all day Sunday and will be scheduled to re-open pending weather and facility conditions on Monday Aug. 29 at 12
noon. (There will be no commuter swim on Monday morning)
