I caught up with three of the Township Committee members Saturday to ask about who may be mayor in 2012. Off a successful re-election campaign, Mayor Vic De Luca declined to comment on whether he would seek to be mayor for a fourth straight year, but offered his view on the 2012 Maplewood situation.
TC Member Marlon Brownlee also declined, but said he believed the mayor was entitled to another term, but did not rule out someone else either.
Then there is former Mayor Jerry Ryan, who said no final decisions were made and he would be happy to take the post again.
Under township rules, the five-member committee annually chooses a mayor from among themselves for each year. Stay tuned
