A gunman snatched cash from the Elmwood Sweet Shop on Wednesday morning, Maplewood police said, before running off on foot.
The store, at the intersection of Elmwood, Orchard and Boyden, sells a variety of goods, from cigarettes and lotto tickets to newspapers and sundries.
This is the second time in less than a year that the shop has been robbed at gunpoint. Last July, two men showed a gun before taking cash from the register, according to police reports.
