ROBBERY, SHOPLIFTING AND BIKE THEFT AT TRAIN STATION MARK POLICE WEEK


Maplewood Police released this today:

September 03, 2012, Burglary; At approximately 115 PM, a resident on Hughes St reported that their first floor air conditioner was pushed in and their home entered.  A witness observed two males fleeing the scene.  Nothing was known to be taken at the time of the report.

September 06, 2012, Robbery; At approximately 9 PM, a resident was walking on Jacoby St  and was robbed of an iphone and ipod.  He was approached and grabbed by two individuals from behind and assaulted.  A passerby observed the victim walking after the assault and robbery and contacted the police department.

September 07, 2012; Shoplifting, At approximately noon, officers responded to the Extra Supermarket for the report of a shoplifter.  On scene, officers placed Troy Johnson, age 44 of Irvington under arrest for shoplifting several items.

September 07, 2012; Theft, During the daytime a mountain bike was taken from the train station.  The bicycle was locked in the morning and when the owner returned at 6 PM, both the bike and lock were missing.
