Andrew Harmon and Julian Spain each rushed for two touchdowns as Seton Hall Prep went on to a 49-22 victory over Columbia Friday night in Maplewood.
Seton Hall Prep took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on a 5-yard run by Spain (12 carries, 53 yards) and a 10-yard run by Nasir Austin (nine carries, 62 yards). The lead was stretched to 21 on a 7-yard TD run by Harmon, who finished the game with 100 yards, in the second quarter.
Manny Grant rushed for a 29-yard TD run for Columbia, but Eric Oden heaved a 72-yard TD pass to Frank Maldonado and John Burkly hit Kevin Taylor with a 35-yard TD pass as Seton Hall went ahead 35-8 at the half.
After Deion Hudson punched in a 1-yard score for Columbia in the third quarter, Harmon rushed for his second TD of the game from 32 yards out.
Seton Hall scored again on a 4-yard run by Spain in the fourth quarter, and Columbia scored on an 84-yard TD pass from Hudson to Grant. Grant had four catches for 129 yards.
