MAPLEWOOD PROPERTY TAXES WENT UP 2.4%, STILL WAY ABOVE STATE AVERAGE

State data released this week finds Maplewood's overall property tax bill went up about 2.4% in 2012, higher than the state average of 1.7%

The average tax bill in our town is $13,435, well above the state average of $7,870.

The average Maplewood homeowner pays $2,155.62 to the county, $3,518.30 to the township and $7,761.12 to the school district.

The average New Jersey homeowner pays $1,425.45 to their county, $2,326.66 to their municipal government and $4,120.16 to their school district.
