Snow Storm Tips
With the predicted snow storm the Department of Public Works would like to remind you of some snow removal tips to make snow removal as efficient and effective as possible
Plan ahead when snow is predicted to cover roadways. Do Not drive unless you absolutely need to. Leave yourself plenty of extra time to get where you are going if you do need to drive.
Remove all cars from the roadway.
The Police Department does grant overnight parking permission during snow emergencies.
Do not shovel your driveway apron until you are sure the plows are finished plowing the road. Always pile the snow behind the curb.
It is illegal to deposit any snow from the sidewalk or driveway in to the roadway. This will create unsafe road conditions.
