ONE-TIME CHS SPEAKER BROUSSARD OF ESPN RIPS GAY NBA PLAYER

ESPN commentator Chris Broussard, who lives in nearby South Orange and was invited to speak at Columbia High School last year, is being criticized for homophobic comments he made Monday while discussing the news that NBA player Jason Collins had become the first major team athlete to reveal he is gay.

In an interview Monday, Broussard, who ironically was invited to CHS in February 2012 for a College Inspiration Night, told an interviewer Monday that Collins' gay life was living "in open rebellion to God."
