STAR-LEDGER FINALLY REPORTS ON ANTI-GAY COMMENT FIRING

It took The Star-Ledger more than a week, but they finally got around to reporting on the DPW employee fired for posting anti-gay comments.

Here is the story:

MAPLEWOOD — First he complained about picking up the garbage after a two-day concert in town.
Then he blamed the mess on "liberals who attend these shows and rant and rave about" green living "and then pollute the parks with everything you can think of in this musicfest."
And finally, Sam Falcetano launched into a tirade on Facebook against Obama, gays and Maplewood's liberal politics.
The veteran Maplewood Department of Public Works employee lost his job earlier this month, just days after he posted the comments, but the township won't give a reason for the termination.
Falcetano joins a growing list of public workers across the state facing scrutiny over their online behavior, with some losing their jobs as a direct result.

Read the rest HERE.

It oddly uses photos of the gay pride celebration rather than the worker himself.
