DEAD MAPLEWOOD TEEN AND 20-YEAR-OLD IDENTIFIED IN FATAL CAR CRASH

From News12:

MAPLEWOOD - Authorities say that alcohol and speed contributed to a crash that killed two people overnight in Maplewood.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says Harrison Allen, 20, has been arrested and charged in the crash that left two dead and three injured.
Allen has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and two counts of aggravated assault by auto. Allen faces several other motor vehicle offenses, including driving while intoxicated.
Tamir Harry, 16, and Kervin Noel, 21, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others traveling in a 2001 Nissan Sentra were injured in the crash. Tahsir Harry, 20, and Rodney Lovius, 21, had to be extricated from the vehicle. They are in serious condition at University Hospital in Newark.
Police say Allen was traveling alone at a high rate of speed in a 2013 Chrysler 200 at around 9 p.m. near South Fourth Street and Essex Avenue, which is a residential area.
Allen was treated and released into police custody. Bail has been set at $50,000.
