SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES' FORUM DRAWS RESIDENTS

PATCH reports:

The South Orange and Maplewood Board of Education Candidates, running for three seats, all attended a public forum, Thursday, hosted by the Hilton Neighborhood Association.

More than 50 residents, including town officials, filled the room at the DeHart Center on Thursday, Sept. 19 to hear the candidates speak.
Candidates include incumbents Elizabeth T. Daugherty, David K. Giles and newcomers Stephanie M. Lawson-Muhammad and Johanna Wright. Daugherty, Giles and Lawson-Muhammad are running a joint campaign. Although her name will remain on the ballot, Marian Cutler will no longer be a candidate.
