Damion Thomas finished 8-for-15 passing
for 162 yards with a touchdown and Khazin Daniels recorded two sacks and
eight tackles to lead East Orange to an 8-6 victory over Columbia in a
Super Essex Conference-American Division game yesterday in Maplewood.
Columbia led, 6-0, in the third quarter, before Thomas connected with Dondre Chapman for a 75-yard TD. Thomas then ran for the two-point conversion to give East Orange the 8-6 lead.
Columbia took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a 2-yard TD run by Jimmy Martinez, but the kick was blocked.
