FIRST GAY WEDDING WILL BE NOON MONDAY - NINE COUPLES GET LICENSES

With the state Supreme Court ruling on Friday that gay marriages can occur in New Jersey, Mayor Vic De Luca has set plans to conduct the first such wedding in Maplewood at Noon Monday.

De Luca told Maplewoodian.com this morning that officials will begin gathering at town hall at 11:30 a.m. Monday with the first such wedding set for Noon.

He said nine couples received same-sex wedding licenses on Friday.
