CONFLICT RESOLUTION AT ETHICAL CULTURE

11 a.m. Syrian-born Huda Shanawani served as a translator for Drew University's peace seminar last summer. She will describe what transpired there and talk about what is happening in her homeland.

The Ethical Culture Society is a diverse, welcoming religious community dedicated to the idea that the supreme aim of human life is to create a more humane world in which the worth of each is honored by all. Established as the first Peace Site in the country in 1982, the Maplewood-based Society continues to affirm its commitment to peace by actively espousing non-violent solutions to local and global crises.
