KNOW THE TOWNSHIP SNOW REMOVAL LAW OR FACE A $100 FINE

Make sure to remove snow from your sidewalk and other public areas within 12 hours of the end of the snowfall. You could face a $100 fine to start.

The removal of snow from the sidewalks in front of property is required to be done 12 hours of daylight after snow or ice stops falling. It is to be removed the full width of the walk and to bade surface. If the property is a corner property all walk is to be cleared including the corner.
ARTICLE I, Removal of Snow and Ice  [Adopted 12-3-1974 by Ord. No. 1438 as Section 3-4 of the 1974 Revised General Ordinances; amended in its entirety 5-15-2007 by Ord. No. 2404-07]
§ 239-1  Removal from sidewalks required.
The owner or tenant of any lands abutting upon any public highway of this municipality shall remove all snow and ice from the abutting sidewalks within 12 hours of daylight after the same shall fall or be formed thereon. In residential zones, the entire width of the sidewalk shall be cleared. In commercial and industrial zones, a minimum of four feet in width shall be cleared where the sidewalk exceeds four feet in width. 
§ 239-2  Deposit in plowed streets unlawful.
No owner or tenant of any lands abutting upon any public highway of this municipality or agent, employee, servant or contractor of such owner or tenant or person shall throw, place, plow or deposit any snow or ice into or upon any traveled area of the street or road that has already been plowed. 
§ 239-3  Violations and penalties.
Any persons subject to the provisions of § 239-1 of this article who shall be found guilty of violating the same shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of $100 for each offense and an additional fine of $50 for each and every 24 hours thereafter during which the provisions of § 239-1
