TWO-ALARM FIRE DAMAGES HOUSE

NJ.com reports:

MAPLEWOOD — Officials are investigating a two-alarm blaze that ripped through a two-and-a-half story house starting on Friday evening, Chief Michael Dingelstedt said.

When firefighters responded to the scene on Maplewood Avenue at 9:40 p.m. on Friday, they found heavy fire on the second floor and coming out of the roof, he said.
No one was at home at the time and shortly after firefighters entered the single-family home, the roof of the wood-frame building collapsed, according to Dingelstedt.
