POT BUST AND BURGLARIES MARK POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police today:


March15, 2014; Drug Arrest; At approximately 1130 PM, officers responded to a Richmond Ave residence on a noise complaint.  Upon their arrival, officers made contact with a 20 year old resident, Hassiem Furr.  During the course of speaking with the resident, there was an obvious scent of marijuana coming from the home.  The officer’s investigation on scene led to the recovery of marijuana, packaging materials and three digital scales.  Mr Furr was arrested for the possession of the above items.

March 14, 2014; Burglary; Between midnight and 1245 AM entry was gained to a
residence on Orchard Rd and jewelry was stolen.

March 19, 2014; Auto Theft: Between 845 and 915 AM a Honda Accord was stolen
from Laurel Ave.  The vehicle was recovered later that day in Newark.

March 22, 2014; Burglary Attempt; At approximately 130 PM officers responded to
an alarm activation to a residence on Ball Pl.  Upon their arrival, it appeared
that someone had attempted to gain entry to the home.  It did not appear that
anything was taken.

March 23, 2014; Burglary: Between 115 and 230 PM, a residence on Garfield Pl was
forcibly entered.  The homeowner reported that jewelry was missing from the
home.
