The court appearance of officials from the Jersey Animal Coalition has been postponed until Tuesday, April 22.
Officials from the JAC were scheduled to appear in South Orange-Maplewood Municipal Court at 3 p.m. (Tuesday) on nearly four-dozen health code violations found during a recent inspection.
The joint inspection by the village and state Departments of Health on March 12 found 45 infractions ranging from improper placement of cleaning materials to failure to provide sick animals with basic veterinary care. The South Orange shelter was given an unsatisfactory rating and remains closed.
