GIGI'S CUPCAKES MAKES MUNCHMOBILE FAVORITES

Our own Gigi's Cupcakes on Springfield Ave. was ranked among the top cupcake outlets in New Jersey by The Star-Ledger's Munchmobile.

In today's report, the Munchers -- who travel the state tasting edibles -- wrote:

As soon as the Big Dog pulled up outside, Nicole Grace Gallodoro knew her sister Gina was going to be disappointed she had the day off.

Words to live by. The bright, cheery cupcake shop, open a year and a half, is named for the double "Gs'' in the owners' names. 

Sofia Dugan was the biggest fan; she found the cinnamon crumb cake, Samoa, Oreo, mango and Elvis cupcakes all "delicious,'' even if some tasted a bit sweet.
The sisters - the Munching sisters - were swooning in delight. Genna Camiolo called the cupcakes "outstanding,'' with the cinnamon crumb cake "packed with deliciousness.'' 

Rosie Camiolo loved the Samoa because the caramel, chocolate and toasted coconut
amounted to "heaven on a cupcake.''

And Mom? Kristin Camiolo described the black velvet as "outrageously chocolate-y'' and the thin mint was so good she texted her husband instantly.

My favorite: the mango cupcake, bursting with flavor and attitude.
