PSE&G CLAIMS BETTER OUTAGE INFO

From the Township and PSE&G:

Stay Connected During Storms with PSE&G’s Enhanced Online Outage Map

OutageMap_June14.jpg Severe summer storms bring heavy rain, high winds, lightning and downed wires, which can lead to power outages. When outages occur, stay connected to PSE&G with our enhanced online outage map at pseg.com/outagecenter.

The latest enhancements to PSE&G’s online outage map use new technology to provide you with more detailed, real-time information during power outages.

Updated every 15 minutes, the online outage map displays the approximate location and status of power outages in PSE&G’s service territory. The most recent map upgrades allow you to view: the precise outage location, the number of customers affected by an outage, the time an outage was reported, the estimated time of restoration; and the cause of the service interruption (if available)

You can also drill down for details about an area, and save that location as a favorite for easy reference in the future. A summary of outages by town and municipality is also available on the online outage map.

During storms, the new mobile-friendly map also will be updated with special alerts and highlight the location of mobile Customer Service Centers.
