STORM CAUSES BIG OUTAGES, LIVE WIRE FIRE

That loud thunderstorm that passed through around 2:15 p.m did its share of damage, power is out to more than 1,000 customers in Maplewood.

Fire crews also responded to a live wire down along the 100 block of Oakland Road that sparked an electrical fire in front of one home, forcing firefighters to evacuate the home and await PSE&G's response to shutdown electricity so the fire could be extinguished.
