PROSPECT RUMMAGE SALE SPARKS LONG LINES, ILLEGAL PARKING

The Prospect Rummage Sale is always a big draw, but today's first day of the three-day event was bigger than most with a long line forcing customers to wait from the first minute and cars parking, some illegally, along Tuscan Road.

 

Many of the cars were parked in spots labeled "No Standing Anytime" and made it difficult for two-way traffic to pass.

Police cruised by at one point but failed to write any tickets or advise the organizers or the motorists.

The rummage sale organizers did seek to advise customers, but apparently some missed the sign.
