The campus went into lock down at about 12:30 p.m. while a search was conducted and the lock down lifted at about 2:25 p.m. and students were later dismissed at the regular 3:01 p.m. time.
Police had reported on the scanner that they were looking for two males with brass knuckles and a knife. One student was eventually arrested with the brass knuckles in a classroom, but another person believed to have been in an altercation with that student remained at large.
The lock down was kept in place and a complete search of the school conducted for more than an hour.

code red “lockdown” was ordered this afternoon (Monday, November 10,
2014) at Columbia High School by the Maplewood Police Department as a
precautionary measure. All students are safe and everything is under
control. Additional details will be provided as soon as they are
available.

Maplewoodian.com went to the scene and interviewed parents who said they began getting text messages from their children, while some students said they were returning from lunch and were told to stay outside the building.
