COMPUTERS, STEAM, LOVE AND ARGUMENTS AT LIBRARIES TODAY

Hilton Open Computer Lab/Maker Space

4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Maplewood Library’s MakerSpace at Hilton Branch is open! Drop in EVERY THURSDAY from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. Patrons can use Rhino 3D software to build a model, print an object on our 3D printer or use our new color printer.  Printing times may vary, depending on file size and demand. Please contact 3Dprinter@maplewoodlibrary.org for more information about printing your objects. Hilton Building STEAM with DIA

A book club with STEAM (science, technology, engineer-ing, art and math!). We will read a book about a real-live person, do an experiment and have some snacks! Everyone will go home with a book! This program is available thanks to the ALA grant, Building STEAM with DIA.

Love and Arguments

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Marylou and Jerome Bongiorno, Emmy-nominated, award winning, husband-and-wife filmmakers, will screen their new film, Love and Arguments,  on Thursday, March 26 at 7 pm at Main Library. Love and Arguments is a film festival of fiction shorts; urban love stories that tackle truth, commitment, stereotypes, and morality, including some contemporary interpretations of stories by Jane Austen, Henry James, and Edith Wharton.
Marylou & Jerome Bongiorno create cutting-edge documentary, fiction, and museum installation art films that are widely distributed.  They are the recipients of major grants and fellowships and were commended by the State of NJ and the City of Newark for their contributions to cinema and public knowledge.
The Maplewood Ideas Festival features authors, architects, innovators, artists and visionaries. Programs are free and open to the public. See the full festival lineup.
