DEAD WOMAN FOUND IN RESERVATION IDENTIFIED

From NJ.com:

The woman whose body was found at South Mountain Reservation Tuesday was likely not the victim of a homicide, authorities said today.
The woman, who was found by a hiker walking a dog through the nature reserve, has been identified as Deja Rodriguez, 24, of Newark, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced Friday.

Rodriguez had been reported missing on Feb. 16, Murray said in the announcement.

A ruling on her cause of death is pending toxicology results, authorities said.

"The Medical Examiner has determined it does not appear to be a homicide," authorities said in the release.

Murray did not indicate what condition Rodriguez's body was found in, or how long authorities believe it was in the wooded area before being found this week.
