MAPLEWOOD'S NEW ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAMER HONORED THIS WEEKEND

Lee "Crystal" Sackett

Maplewood is about to have its own connection to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the late Lee "Crystal" Sackett, formerly of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and a long-time Maplewood resident, is posthumously inducted with that band during ceremonies this weekend in Cleveland. The ceremony is slated for broadcast next month.

Sackett's wife, Maura, and their sons, Cameron and Sean, will be there for the big event. All three still live in Maplewood, where Ms. Sackett is a beloved teacher at Tuscan School.

We caught up with her Thursday as she packed for the trip this weekend. She discussed what it means for her husband to be honored and for her children to be there with her. 

Also what life with a rock and roll husband was like and why they came to and remain in our town.
