SEWER FEE TO INCREASE BY $10

We told you last week that the annual sewer charge was likely to increase this year from the $175 rate it has been in the past.

It looks like it will happen at Tuesday's Township Committee meeting, where an ordinance is up for approval that would raise it to $185 per year.

The increase, as noted in the past, is due to an increase in fees charged to the Township by the Joint Meeting of Essex and Union counties, which runs the water treatment plant for the sewers.
