ROBBERY OF MAPLECREST PARK JOGGERS LEADS POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police:



April 28, 2015; Robbery; At approximately 0515 Hrs, two individuals
 that had just finished jogging in Maplecrest Park were walking on
Boyden Parkway back to their home.  While doing so, two males described as being in their late teens came out of the bushes of a home on Boyden Parkway and approached them. They demanded their money and cell phones before fleeing on foot towards the park. Both males were wearing dark
pants and black hooded sweatshirts. One of the male kept his hand
underneath the sweatshirt as if he had a gun.
 
April 30, 2015; Theft; Sometime during the day a license plate was stolen off of a
vehicle parked in the Bank of America lot on Maplewood Ave.
 
April 30, 2015; Bicycle Theft; During the overnight hours a bicycle left
unsecured in the back of a home on Van Ness Ter was stolen.
 
May 2, 2015; Thefts from Vehicles; During the overnight hours three vehicles
were entered and cell phone chargers and a cell phone taken. Two of
the vehicles were on Midland Blvd and were unsecured.  A third was on
Parker Ave and had a window broken in order to take a cell phone left in
plain view.
