MAPLEWOOD MAN ARRESTED IN MADISON ON DWI, NEARLY HIT COP

On May 20, 2015 at 10:50 pm, Ptl. Bart Glab arrested 64 year old John Zweig of Maplewood, NJ. Glab was on Main St. providing back-up for another officer on a motor vehicle stop. Zweig traveling on Main St. allegedly came within inches of sideswiping Glabs’ patrol car as he passed by. 

Glab stopped Zweig for the violation and while speaking to him, the odor of an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on his breath. Glab later determined that Zweig was operating his vehicle under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, over the legal limit. 

Zweig was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated in a School Zone in addition to other motor vehicle offenses.

  1. I don’t think Zweig holds any chance and is going to spend some good time behind bars. Thankfully, he didn’t hit cop else his problems would have got compounded. My cousin works with a Los Angeles DUI attorney and he often tells how DUI can ruin someone’s professional as well as personal life.
