ACCUSED CHS TEACHER'S EX GUILTY OF BURGLARY

Drew Dufault
Accused Columbia High School teacher Nicole Dufault is not the only one in the family facing criminal charges. Her former husband, Drew Dufault, admitted last week to burglarizing a West Orange home.

Mr. Dufault, 34, pleaded guilty last Friday to the burglary charge related to a June 13, 2014 incident, according to NJ.com.

The story adds:

Drew Dufault is expected to receive a term of probation when he is sentenced on Sept. 18 before Superior Court Judge Alfonse Cifelli.

At the time of the burglary, Dufault entered the house through a window and stole jewelry and about $800 in cash, according to Katherine Carter, spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. No one was home at the time of the break-in, Carter said.

Ms. Dufault is still awaiting trial on 40 counts of alleged sexual assault against at least six under-aged CHS students dating back to 2013 and remains free on $500,000 bail. She was last in court on Aug 3 when attorneys argued over some disputed evidence.
