BURGLARIES AND AUTO-RELATED THEFTS MARK POLICE WEEK

From Maplewood Police today:

September 28, 2015; Theft from Auto; A vehicle parked on Girard Pl was entered an a cell phone charger removed.  Officers responded to a suspicious person call at approximately 6:30 AM.  They located Ryan Sellers, age 38 of Irvington who attempted to flee before being taken into custody and found to be in possession of multiple cell phone chargers.  It was determined that he has been stealing the chargers from unlocked vehicles.

September 29, 2015; Bicycle Theft; Between 3 and 4 PM, a bicycle that was left tied to a tree with a rope at the Shell Station was stolen.  The bicycle was later found abandoned on Tuscan Rd.

September 29, 2015; Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft; While on patrol, Officer Lareau observed an unsecured vehicle in the parking lot of the Extra Supermarket.  Upon closer inspection, it was determined that the ignition had been removed from the vehicle in an attempt to steal it.

September 30, 2015; Theft from Auto; A vehicle parked in the driveway of a Parker Ave residence was forcibly entered and a cell phone charger stolen from it.

September 30, 2015; Burglary; During the early morning hours, a residence on Buckingham Gardens Pkwy was entered.  A laptop and Guitar were reportedly stolen.

October 1, 2015; Burglary; During the morning hours a residence on Parker Ave was entered. Jewelry was reportedly stolen from the home.

October 1, 2015; Stolen Motor Vehicle; During the overnight hours a vehicle was stolen from Meadowbrook Pl.  The vehicle was recovered the same day in Irvington.

October 3, 2015; Burglary; At approximately 9:45 PM officers responded to an alarm activation at a Warner Rd residence.  Upon their arrival, they found that the home had been burglarized.  Jewelry was reported stolen from the house.

October 3, 2015; Stolen Motor Vehicle; During the overnight hours a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a home on Hughes St.
