TC CANDIDATE LEMBRICH'S CAMPAIGN SPENDING TOPS $32,000

Township Committee Candidate Greg Lembrich, who is running with fellow Democratic nominee Nancy Adams, has spent more than $32,000 in the race dating back to his Democratic primary campaign, according to the latest campaign disclosure reports.

We reported in July that Lembrich, who along with Adams beat incumbent Jerry Ryan in the Democratic primary, had spent more than $27,000 in that race.

The most recent documents filed earlier this month indicate Lembrich's total campaign warchest to date is $33,988.24, with 32,861.58 spent so far.

We had previously reported that Lembrich had loaned himself $10,000.

Adams, who ran in the primary with Ryan, filed a statement during the primary indicating that they had raised just under $5,000, with $1,000 of that coming from the Maplewood Democratic Committee.

In the general election, however, Lembrich and Adams are running together against Republican nominee Phyllis Scalera. As a joint committee of two, Lembrich and Adams have filed a statement indicating they do not plan to raise and spend more than $8,500, which means they are not required to file an exact amount of expenditures or detail contributors.

Scalera filed a similar statement last spring.

Election Day is Nov. 3.
