CHS LOCKDOWN SUSPECT CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE COUNTS, INCLUDING TERRORISTIC THREATS

We told you last week about the lockdown at Columbia High School sparked by concerns over what turned out to be a toy weapon.

Today, police revealed that several charges were filed against the 9th grade student involved and more details. The unidentified 15-year-old male student was charged with possession of an imitation firearm, false public alarm, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon in an educational institution.

The police release stated that the student not only allegedly brought the toy weapon into the school, but its markings that indicated it was a toy had been removed and he had allegedly caused another student, 14, to be "fearful that the weapon would be used against him."
