RECENT CHS LOCKDOWN DETAILS RELASED: CVS LINK

The recent lockdown at Columbia High School earlier this month prompted by a student with a toy gun actually began at the CVS across the street where he was seen with the item that led to his later arrest.

As we reported on Dec. 3, the 9th-grade male was taken into custody after allegedly threatening another student with the toy that appeared real enough to draw concerns from several students.

But a police report from the incident reveals the same student was seen with the toy gun earlier in the CVS on Valley Street.

See the relevant portion of the police report below:

As noted earlier, the student was arrested and charged with possession of an imitation firearm, false public alarm, terroristic threats, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon in an educational institution.
