TOWNSHIP OBAMACARE SIGN-UP DEADLINE NOTICE

Affordable Health Care Open Enrollment Ends January 31st



The open enrollment period for the Affordable Health Care Act Insurance ends January 31st in order for the insurance coverage to begin on February 1st.   You can sign up online at healthcare.gov.  If you need assistance completing the application, you can go to the Hilton Library on January 16 or January 30 from 10:00am until noon.  ACA insurance Navigators will be present to assist.  You can also contact the Oranges Area ACA Navigator Project online or at 523 Park Ave. in Orange or 973-500-6031.  Another Navigator service site is the SRA Enrollment Assistance at 908-455-2916 at 2565 Route 22 west in Union.   Web sites CoverNJ.org and CobertNJ.org are also available to provide assistance for other Navigator sites in New Jersey.  Note that the Affordable Health Care Act requires that people who do not have private health insurance must sign up for ACA insurance or face a fine.

  • Information about your household. Figure out who is applying for coverage before you start your application. Visit HealthCare.gov/income-and-household-information/household-size for help figuring out who needs coverage.
  •  Home and/or mailing addresses for everyone applying for coverage.
  • Information about everyone applying for coverage.
  • Social Security Numbers.
  • Information about the professional helping you apply (if you’re getting help completing your application). Visit HealthCare.gov/help/who is-helping-me-complete-my-application for more information.
  • Information on how you file your taxes.
  • Employer and income information for every member of your household (for example, from pay stubs or W-2 forms—Wage and Tax Statements). Visit HealthCare.gov/income-and-householdinformation/income to learn more about what types of income to include and not include.
  • Your best estimate of what your household income will be in 2016. Visit HealthCare.gov/incomeand-household-information/how-to-report for help estimating your income.   
  • Policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household.
  • A completed “Employer Coverage Tool” for every job-based plan you or someone in your household is eligible for. (You’ll need to fill out this form even for coverage you’re eligible for but don’t enroll in.) Visit HealthCare.gov/downloads/employer-coverage-tool.pdf to view or print the tool.
  • Notices from your current plan that include your plan ID, if you have or had health coverage in 2015.
  • Document information for legal immigrants. Visit HealthCare.gov/help/immigration-document types for more information.
