CHS GIRLS SWIMMING KEEPS UNDEFEATED STREAK IN FIRST PLAYOFF VICTORY

The Columbia High School girls swim team kept their historic undefeated season going with an 88-82 win over Phillipsburg on Tuesday to advance to the next round of the state tournament.

Columbia kept its perfect season in tact behind the legs of a winning 400-meter freestyle relay as it edged Phillipsburg, 88-82, in the preliminary round of the North Jersey, Section 2, Public A state tournament in Morristown.
Elly Ragone and Marie Fagan each won a pair of individual titles before sixth-seeded Columbia's 400 free relay team of Ragone, Fagan, Alisa Stellini and Sarah Ortiz pulled out the win in 4:21.55 to seal the win.
Ragone had wins in the 200 free in 2:17.77 and the 500 free in 4:50.76 and Fagan collected victories in the 100 fly (1:07.83) and 100 back (1:10.44).Columbia will face third-seeded Ridge in the quarterfinals on Friday, Feb. 5
