NJ TRANSIT STRIKE AVERTED; BUT TOWNSHIP WAS READY

Maplewood commuters dodged a bullet Friday night as the NJ Transit negotiations led to a deal that will avoid a strike that could have started Sunday night.

See the details HERE.

Kudos to Mayor Vic Deluca and the Township for getting ahead of things as far back as Feb. 19 when the mayor indicated a strike was possible and contingency plans were being created.

Then on March 1, the Township issued a lengthy and in-depth plan to handle commuters if a strike had occurred.

Good work!
