SUSPECT IN SHOOTING OF MAPLEWOOD MAN ARRESTED

UNION, NJ - An investigation into the shooting of a man from Maplewood on February 5 in the area of Walker and William Streets in Union has led to a suspect being identified and apprehended.  The suspect, Isaiah “Zay” Jackson, has addresses in both Newark and South Orange. 
Officers on the scene on February 5 found an adult lying in the grass in the garden apartment complex. The wounded man, a 19-year old from Maplewood, was unconscious and bleeding from his torso and neck area and was taken to a trauma center.
According to a press release from the Union Police Department, detectives and members of the FBI Fugitive Task Force had been searching for Jackson since the shooting and located him at a relative’s home in South Orange on Tuesday, February 23.
