ALCOHOL SALES ISSUES ON TAP AT TC MEETING TONIGHT

The Township Committee will discuss two alcohol-related issues and proposals at tonight's TC meeting.

First, the organizers of Maplewoodstock, who have been running a beer garden during the two-day July event for the past four years, want to begin selling earlier, according to Mayor Vic Deluca.

In the past, beer sales were not allowed until 2 p.m. during the concert, which begins both days at Noon. Deluca said a proposal will be discussed to allow such sales at Noon both days.

In a related item, the TC also plans to consider a request by St. James Gate to allow an outdoor cafe area at the pub. This would be the first such sidewalk permit for alcohol sales.

See the full agenda HERE. The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

As always, you can speak during the two public comment portions. So show up, ask a question, give them a piece of your mind or just a pat on the back.

Remember, they work for you!
