SCHOOL BOARD LOSING ATTORNEY, GAINING NEW BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR

Two major personnel changes were approved by the school board Monday night.

First, the apparent resignation of board attorney Philip Stern, who is resigning as of Aug. 31, according to the agenda.

Stern is the latest in a string of district departures that most recently included business administrator Cheryl Schneider, who left for a job in Millburn, Guidance Director Jennifer Giordano, who is going to a post in Morristown, and Maplewood Middle School principal Jerrill Adams, whose future is unknown.

The board tonight also will appoint Schneider's replacement, Paul Roth, who currently serves as the district's chief information officer.
