SUDDEN DEATH OF YOUNG MOTHER DRAWS SUPPORT, AND YOU CAN HELP

Maplewood's ability to rally around someone in need has never been more noticeable than in the past week as the family of Jeanette Manning Estoye has seen friends, neighbors -- and likely some strangers -- come to their help.

Estoye, a 37-year-old mother of three, died suddenly on Aug. 14. Her children range in age from five months to five years.

Since then, online requests for financial help and a "meal train," which has locals providing meals for the distraught family, have seen an amazing response.

A GoFundMe site set up by Jeanette's husband, David, initially sought $6,000. It has grown to more than $37,000. You can donate HERE.

As for the meal train, it is booked up for a few weeks, but with many spots left if you can provide a meal for this family of four.

A great way to try out that favorite recipe on what will likely be a grateful group. Sign up HERE.

Another sad sign that life is precious, but also that our community can do so much for those in need when it wants to.
