TWO MAPLEWOOD MEN ARRESTED IN UNION FOR AUTO-RELATED ATTACK

From NJ.com:

UNION — Two armed men in a silver car chased a man through the township Thursday night and tried to run him down, police said.
The driver, 22-year-old Jared Burgess, and the passenger, 21-year-old Kadeem Turner, both of Maplewood, face charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon (the vehicle) for an unlawful purpose and attempted robbery.
Police said a resident near Stuyvesant Avenue and Stanley Terrace called them around 10:20 p.m. and said the car was pursuing a pedestrian and the driver appeared to have a gun.
Officers found the unharmed victim walking out of Hollywood Cemetery, where he had hidden. They said they also discovered the car parked on Pleasant Parkway and arrested the men as they walked away from it.
