Gary Mobley |
Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
Mobley, who served as an assistant coach last year under former coach John Power, took over this season after Power left for a job at Morristown High School. He also spent more than a decade as head coach in Rahway, where he still works as a physical education teacher.
Mobley is a graduate of Union High School and played varsity football at Temple University.
We caught up with Mobley before practice on Thursday to discuss the upcoming season, which he sees as competitive and will include a number of returning starters.
He also talked about the realigned conference that has CHS playing many new teams, and how his approach is similar and different from Power.
