Today, Maplewood Middle School was evacuated at approximately 8:15AM when a strange gas odor was noticed. Students and staff were safely evacuated as a precaution while the fire department investigated.
Students returned to class at 8:45am. PSE&G will be on site to make necessary repairs. All boilers have been turned off.
As always, student safety remains a top priority in our district. We are grateful to the Maplewood Fire Department for their quick response and assistance.
