POWER OUTAGE AFFECTS 1,600 DUE TO WIRE DOWN

If you lost power this evening, you were not alone.

At least 1,600 customers of PSE&G lost power this evening, beginning at 6 p.m. and in the area of Prospect Street and Sommer Avenue with a wire down, according to PSE&G. It was extended to further outages at 8 p.m., which ended about 20 minutes later.

These were likely due to a temporary outage needed to re-power the initial area after the downed wire was repaired.
