September 26, 2016; Attempted Vehicle Theft; During the overnight hours two vehicles were entered and their ignitions damaged consistent with an attempted theft. One vehicle was parked on the 400 block of Boyden Ave and the second on the 100 block of Jacoby St.
September 27, 2016; Shoplifting; At approximately 7:15 PM officers responded to the area of the Deals store on Springfield Ave on a reported attempted shoplifting. Upon their arrival they located a subject fitting the description of the actor. Hosea Kendrick, age 48 of Newark was identified as the actor and was taken into custody.
September 28, 2016; Shoplifting; At approximately 2 PM, officers responded to the area of the Wine Barrel on Springfield Ave on a reported attempted shoplifting. Officers checked the area for the actor, but he was unable to be located.
October 02, 2016; Motor Vehicle Theft; A Dodge Neon parked in the pool lot on Boyden Ave was stolen sometime over the prior week.
