ELECTION DAY IS HERE: FIND OUT WHERE AND WHEN TO VOTE

Yes, if you didn't know it, today is Election Day.

Schools are closed, so be careful with the kids being out and about.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are unsure where to vote, go to the Google webpage where you can enter your address and it will tell you. You can also call Maplewood Town Hall at 973-762-8120.

If you have not voted in a while and are used to voting at the Maplewood Fire Headquarters, that polling place, for Districts 2 and 17, has been moved to The Woodland, 60 Woodland Rd.

Along with voting for president and Congress, there are three seats up for grabs on the school board with incumbents Stephanie Lawson-Muhammad and Johanna Wright running against challengers Susie Adamson, James Davis and Anthony Mazzocchi.

And there is one seat up on the Township Committee as Democrat Frank McGehee faces Republican Mike Summersgill.

See our Election Guide with interviews and background HERE.

These people decide how to spend your property taxes so your vote is very important.
