CHS CAFETERIA ROACH INFESTATION SPARKS PESTICIDE TREATMENT

Columbia High School apparently has roaches in the cafeteria kitchen area, according to a notice about pesticide spraying set for this afternoon.

The notice, found HERE, states the spraying will be done at 3 p.m. after classes are over.

With the three-day holiday weekend on Martin Luther King Day Monday, students will not return until Tuesday.

Still, the notice has a long list of health hazards from the chemicals. Presumably, those are not a danger if the building is empty.

We asked for more specifics on how long the roach infestation has been a problem, what is being done to avoid it in the future, and any other precautions being taken.

District Spokeswoman Suzanne Turner responded saying that the notice addresses that.

See for yourself if you think it does HERE.
