IMMIGRATION, HEATING AND MORE AT TONIGHT'S TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING

Along with the much-debated pro-immigrant protection resolution, the Township Committee tonight will also consider an ordinance to allow enclosed sidewalk cafe structures in Maplewood Village and a change in requirements for heating rental units.

See more on the immigration resolution HERE.

The enclosed sidewalk cafe ordinance can be found HERE, while the heating restriction that would require a minimum 68 degrees in the daytime and 65 degrees after 11 p.m. for rental units in winter time is HERE.

There will also be a final vote on a new restriction banning pets, leashed or not, from tennis, basketball and paddle courts in public parks.

See the entire agenda HERE. The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 574 Valley St.

There is, of course, always a public comment portion where you can show up, ask a question, give them a piece of your mind or just a pat on the back.

Remember, they work for you!
